Usually, engagement sessions for us are part of a larger wedding package; we’ll see the happy couple again, maybe several times, before they walk down the aisle. So Adair and Justin were different – they’re getting married in Nashville, Tennessee, and had already found their wedding photographer when they started thinking about engagement photos. (Ahem: we travel. A lot. Y’all getting married in another state, you just keep that in mind.) Justin, a med student at UNC, has a cuh-RAZY schedule that prohibited his travel to Nashville… so they called me, and I’m so very glad they did!
Adair told me about the rustic vibe they’re working on for the wedding, so we headed up to Yates Mill in north Durham to grab some very early spring photos that were rustic indeed. We laughed until we cried (okay, I did – I think they just laughed) as these guys got comfortable in front of the camera. They danced, they dipped, they teetered on the edge of the mill pond – and this is what we got. Enjoy, friends – have a beautiful wedding and a great life together!
