I was soooooo excited for this session. I had a session with “Alice” and her parents two months ago and at that time her mama and I started talking about doing a staged Alice In Wonderland shoot as her daughter has a liking to the Alice from Lewis Carroll’s infamous book and she absolutely loves the story. So, her mama made and put together all the props for this session. The weather forecast in the days leading up to the session was bleak; small chance of showers but going to be overcast. Overcast I can handle; rain I can not. So, on a wing and a prayer I set off for Raulston Arboretum in the midst of the NC State Fair Traffic and prayed for the sun to appear or at least for the rain to stay away and 1 hour before the session, in the midst of I-440 traffic, it happened…… THE SUN CAME OUT!!!!! Normally I don’t like the sun, just a little sun maybe but for this one I was hoping that the sun would illuminate through the trees and also occasionally on “Alice’s” hair providing a nice additive to the sure to be colorful props and costume. I love warming up pictures and I knew the colors would look a gazillion times better if there was a warm sunlight as an addition.
I love every session that I do. I put my best food forward for all my clients and I particularly fell IN LOVE with this session. So I apologize for the long post and all the pictures but I loved sooooo many from this session that I had to share. I hope you enjoy them!
