I love Glencoe, NC. This hidden gem is outside of the Burlington/Greensboro, NC area and is conveniently off of I-40 but not by much over the river and through the woods you arrive at this beautiful quaint little town that is a bit of history held in the present and has been beautifully preserved. This place has been a frequent backdrop for this adorable couple as Annie shot Logan’s bridals here before the wedding and I did an anniversary session with Chris and Logan about a year after their wedding here.
Interesting enough – when Logan put her wedding dress back on that day – we had some trouble getting it to zip. No biggie, right? Nah. But weeks later we realized out why – Logan was pregnant!
So we scheduled their maternity pictures around a time that I would be passing through this adorable town and when they would be in Glencoe with Logan’s family – Thanksgiving. Well, the first attempt at this session – I failed miserably. Thanksgiving traffic mixed with quick a fast setting sun in the fall and then flash mis firings because it was oh so very cold that evening – well thankfully Logan and Chris and I are close enough that they were fine with me meeting up with them on my way back through town from Charlotte post Thanksgiving festivities.
AND well this is when it all worked!
We had perfect weather and it was a beautiful late afternoon/evening in Glencoe and we made a whole mess of magic! I am so bummed that as Jack grows I won’t be able to be close enough to photograph his milestones as they live in VA but I will admire from afar and hope one day soon I can photograph this perfect family again!
