Happy birthday, Rylee! : Durham, NC Child Portrait Photographer

Wow, has it been a month since we updated this site?  MORE than a month, you say?  We have a good reason: it’s been the craziest, most wonderful February we’ve ever had.  Usually, we can count on these winter months as a time to slow down, get some paperwork done, file a few taxes here and there, stuff like that.  Nobody really needs portrait sessions since it’s post-Christmas, and the number of weddings slows pretty dramatically as well.  BUT!  This February was a wild one – we’ve had at least three or four shoots every weekend, and several fun experiences during the week.  Classes, shoots, a bridal show in Burlington… If the past six weeks have been any indication of what’s about to happen over here, you may not see us again until 2014!

One of the cutest events we shot recently was a birthday party for little Miss Rylee June, a sweet little cupcake whose parents were one of my wedding couples ages ago.  Rylee’s party was a celebration with family and friends, all of whom clearly adored the birthday girl – from the rainbow cake to the pile of gifts that was taller than she was, Rylee had all the elements of a perfect first.  Congrats, sweet girl, and thanks for sharing your day with me!
