What can I say about this session except I love, love, love so many of the pictures from the early morning session. My sister has been one of the many inspirations and cheerleaders for me when I was beginning my photography career. She has always been my best friend, my biggest fan and my second mother and I mean that in a good way 🙂 We have been talking for a long time about doing a casual session with her in her wedding dress and almost two years to the day they walked down the isle, we did just that. Donning some oh so comfortable and stylish cowboy boots that I got on a recent trip to Austin, TX we treked through Duke Campus (thankfully during fall break that allowed us to literally sit in the middle of Chapel Drive for 5 minutes uninterrupted.)
The light was AMAZING this morning and I was able to warm the pictures with real sun instead of relying on photo editing software to do most of it. I always love using the sun and especially the NC fall sun is soooooo beautiful! After getting kicked out of Duke Chapel (because we didn’t have written permission) we took a few pictures of the dress and boots then grabbed Brian for their annual Christmas card photo pictures. Duke Gardens was on fire with people, as it is on most Fall Saturday mornings. There were so many photogs taking pictures that most of the time was spent staying out of their way and making sure no one was in our shot. All in all, I really love how they turn out and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
And to Heather and Brian; thanks for another great day with you two! I always love the time we spend together whether wine or Faygo is involved, always a great time. Love to you both!
