Where do I even start with this fantastic wedding? After an absolutely epic engagement session with these two in Raleigh, I knew that the wedding day was going to be absolutely amazing. I simply love these guys. They are so perfect for each other and I count myself so lucky to have been the lucky chosen to document so many special events for this couple as they began their lives together as a married couple.
We started the day separately – the girls got ready at the Downtown Raleigh, NC Sheraton and the guys at Reid’s parents house. After we were all dressed for the day we converged on The Stockroom at 230, a beautiful wedding venue located on Fayetteville Street in Downtown. Now a huge benefit to this venue is that it is smack dab in the middle of Downtown Raleigh – a huge sometimes issue though is that Downtown Raleigh has a lot of events in which a lot of the main streets are blocked off for street festivals. On this day we had a huge event called Brewgaloo that closed down a lot of the downtown streets for different beer vendors and food trucks. All the planning that we had in place before hand came in to play as we had transportation and parking plans in place and the Brewgaloo crowd really were an interesting twist to the day but didn’t thwart us at all from enjoying the day and especially downtown.
If you look in the portraits in Part II of this weddings blog, you will notice we actually embraced the Brewgaloo crowd and took Kaitlin and Reid out INTO the crowd of our new 20,000 closest friends. AND thank you to Reid’s brother and best man for assisting us with holding our light for those portraits. Really – could not have done it without you Seth!
Hope you enjoy part one of this great Downtown Raleigh, NC wedding and stay tuned for the portraits – ah the portraits – AND the reception! It’s not to be missed!
