Kate & Julian : American Tobacco Campus Durham, NC Engagement Photographer

We met Kate at a bridal show recently and we were so honored that Kate and Julian chose us to be their wedding photographers!   One of the best ways for us to get to know each other besides the wedding consult is the engagement and bridal sessions.  Engagements more so because you get both the bride and groom and their isn’t the whole dealing with the dress thing.

Engagements are especially fun because they are typically more relaxed than the wedding day and it is just the couple and the photographer.  They learn a lot about me and how I shoot and I learn a lot about them and how they show affection for each other and what poses work and what doesn’t.  We also can learn about each others preferences long before the wedding day.  It is all a learning experience.

I met Kate and Julian at the American Tobacco campus for their engagement shoot.  We went all over the campus taking in the sights.  There is a lot around the campus that offers for a very diverse backdrop for a great session.  We had great warm, sunny weather to capture some special images!
