Laura & Daryn Part I : Highgrove Estate Wedding Photographer

I met Laura and Daryn in early 2015 when they were planning their wedding for August at the beautiful Highgrove Estate in Fuquay Varina, NC and I can absolutely say without a doubt I am so sad to see their wedding happen.  Wait….let me rephrase that.  I am so sad that I now have NOT appointments on my calendar in which I can see them!!!  I mean I had the absolute honor to document not only their beautiful engagement session in Downtown Raleigh but also Laura’s bridals at Highgrove Estate a month and some change before the wedding and it was all leading up to one epic day and one epic wedding!

I knew this was going to be a fantastic event and I knew that I was so lucky to have been chosen to document it.  AND as is a bonus – I actually had a lot of fun doing it.  Daryn and Laura are not only perfect for each other but they are both a barrel of laughs.  I mean, if there were any clients that I knew without a doubt would become friends, it would be these guys.  I so enjoyed every minute I was with them and I so loved that they kept me laughing the entire time.  They sure didn’t make anything feel like work at all.

Part I of their beautiful wedding finds us at the preparations for the day and the ceremony.  If anything we got extremely lucky with the weather on every day we had a session and the wedding booked.  May – it was a little warm but it was a great day.  Laura’s bridals – overcast and actually ideal for getting portraits in the portico area where the ceremony is and the wedding day being in August had me worried for an all out heat stroke by a few people but it was actually an extremely pleasant day in NC.  Humidity was low and we had an actual breeze coming through.

All in all – the entire event was perfection and so is this adorable couple.  I hope you enjoy some favorites from the day and be sure to stay tuned for Part II!
