As luck would have it, Duke University’s Basketball team for 2015 won the NCAA Final Four title shortly before Lisa and Geremy’s engagement session AND as luck would have it Lisa and Geremy are fans of Duke’s basketball team – so much so that Coach Krzyzewski was invited to their wedding. That is right; he received an invitation AND he replied with regrets of being unable to attend but you know what, what a nice guy that he even replied!
Well, second best thing – at their engagement session we made a trek over to Cameron Indoor Stadium to see the new 2015 NCAA trophy as well as went into Cameron Indoor. Since the team had just come home within days of our session with the trophy, they were unfortunately setting up for a celebration inside Cameron so we were unable to go farther than the entrance to the gymnasium.
But before our time at Cameron, we spent some time walking around Duke’s beautiful campus and on this perfect spring day we had to make a stop by Duke Gardens – and the gardens were bumping on this day as the weather was pure perfection. I don’t blame the thousands for being out that day at this beautiful Arboretum – it was the perfect day. It did make it a little difficult to find places for us to go where we wouldn’t get a ton of people in the background. We had a few make it work moments and WOW I am so happy with the results.
