Well, what do you know. Here I thought my Valentine’s Day weekend was going to be all quiet and stuff. I got a call from Madison the week before Valentine’s Day and she had just gotten engaged – within days of this call and she just had to have her engagement session with Nick ASAP. As luck would have it, I had all of Saturday open. As luck wouldn’t have had it, it was going to be bitterly cold on Saturday. I was game if they were and so we did it! You can’t even tell it was 28 degrees outside because of the spark between these two.
And the spark stopped there – see part 2 of this engagement session was going to be at Nick’s firehouse. Nick is a firefighter with the Redwood Firestation in Durham, NC and they were such troopers for all my crazy ideas. We had the trucks and the lighting was perfect. I mean I can’t change which way the building is situated in comparison to the sun but this was the perfect lighting scenario. We did get to warm up a bit inside the firehouse before we pulled the truck out.
Madison was an absolute trooper in her heels. I mean – I know beauty is pain but it takes a whole lot of gumption to say yes when the crazy photographer asks “can you stand up on the bumper of the firetruck? Yep. In those heels?” She did it! And it was amazing!
Congrats you two and THANK YOU for having me out to photograph your engagement session! Looking forward to hearing all about the wedding planning!
~Hugs~
