From the moment I photographed Melissa and Jon at Jon’s sister’s wedding in September many years ago and again in December of 2013 for a couples’ session turned proposal, I was HOPING that I would get the priviledge to photograph their wedding. I KNEW it was going to be a great party and this couple was so adorable and so in love that I knew the day was one not to be missed.
From the day we met for the wedding consultation, this was going to be a great party! It was at a newer Chapel Hill wedding venue – The Chapel Hill Carriage House – and the ceremony was at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church and School in Chapel Hill.
Following a short but meaningful Catholic Ceremony at St. Thomas Moore, the bridal party and guests welcomed Melissa and Jon into their Reception at The Chapel Hill Carriage House. We took a brief break from the reception for some sunset portraits of the bride and groom on the grounds of the Carriage House as well as some new baby goats were born on their wedding day morning at the farm on the property so many of the guests and the bride and groom went to welcome the goats to the world for a brief visit.
I LOVED the unique and personal details, from the country chic elements to the shotgun shells that adorned the flower arrangements which were PERFECT for this couple – everything was true to Melissa and Jon.
I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from this great Chapel Hill Carriage House Wedding and many thanks to the fantastic vendors that helped make this wedding day perfect beyond measure!
