This was a great session! I know they are all great but this session had to be one of my favorites from the weekend. In the fall, I shoot A LOT of family sessions. They tend to get busiest in the fall and every weekend day I am doing multiple (sometimes up to 6) family sessions in a day. The age of the children have a direct correlation sometimes to how well the session goes as well as how long the session lasts and in correlation how tired I am after it. Since this session had a older child – and it was the first one that day that I had a child that would focus on me for longer than a few seconds and pose – I seized the moment! Nothing against young kids, I LOVE shooting them but it is a huge difference when I am not getting my cardio on running after some kids with a huge heavy investment in my hands. I wish I could say that my good kid pictures were all planned – but honestly no. There is a lot of running and chasing involved and that one fleeting moment where the one, or two, or 10 children look – THAT is the moment!
We got some GREAT pictures of this fantastic family as well as incorporated a special ring that bears the name of both of the children of this family – Mason as well as his brother that passed many years back.
Hope you enjoy some of my favorites from this great Wake Forest family session and I would LOVE to see you guys again in 2014!
