I don’t know what the weather has been like in your neck of the woods, but it has rained EVERY DAY here in Raleigh, NC and I am so glad that I have pictures to share of days when it rained once a week, the humidity wasn’t bordering on Amazon and the sun made a daily appearance.
Nikki and Benedict’s wedding day was just that; perfect! Perfect day, perfect couple and perfect marriage. I have known both the bride and groom from pre-Red Bridge business/client explosion. I worked as a RN at WakeMed Health & Hospitals to supplement income while building the business into what it is today. We had shoots here and there but nothing like it is today. I met Benedict first and pre-dating Nikki period. While Nikki is also a RN at WakeMed, I interacted with Benedict more as he was a PA in the unit that I was often assigned to work in. I knew Benedict before they started dating and let me just say, I noticed a change one day. This normally very peppy and preppy guy had a certain pep in his step after he started dating Nikki.
I met Nikki a few times in passing but it wasn’t until Benedict started talking about proposing until I really got to know her. I threw it out there one night at work to Benedict that if he ever thought of proposing that I would love to pitch an idea to him. Well, I got the call and that following Saturday I was there to shoot the proposal .
Shortly after, Annie and I met the happy couple to start talking the wedding day.
What a grand affair it was. We spent most of the morning with the girls as they got their hair and make up done. Guys honestly could show up an hour before and walk down the isle, but girl time is very important on wedding mornings. They said their “I dos” and after a short portrait session of the two of them it was time to PARTY!
And what a party it was. This was a day surrounded by friends and family that they had all been waiting for.
Thank you to Nikki, Benedict and your family and friends for allowing us to spend the day with you and help you forever remember how much you love each other that day and for many to come.
