Oh the struggle is REAL folks! How do I make each session unique and personal for my little nephew and for a BOY none-the-less! You can’t just put a bow on him and call him cute and precious like a girl. Well, I am shopping hard for some hats and I came across some cute ones! I loved finding this simple fedora hat at Target of all places! I loved how simple and handsome it looked on him in the store and I love it even more with his debonaire good looks!
I have had this dinosaur hat with spikes for a few months now; too big for a newborn – but every client I showed it too was always a little leery of it for Christmas card pictures. It really didn’t say Silent Night – it said raise some hell! So, it was perfect for one of the set ups for Sam’s five month session.
My sister also found an adorable Owl hat and we also did some family pictures. It is so very important to me as a photographer to be a documentation of the lives of these amazing people in my life. And gosh – I can think of no better way to document the memory than with pictures. And for as much as he hates doing them – I LOVE that my brother in law is so willing to be a part of some of the sessions. Some times, he ain’t feeling it which I totally understand because if y’all only saw what I looked like on shoot days – but I do love that he wants to be IN the pictures. My sister I definitely don’t have to convince, but Brian and Brian’s dad – I very much do.
Well, I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from Samuel’s five month milestone session!
Stay tuned for month six! He is a half a year old!
