Taking a leap and following my heart : Personal notes from the office : Raleigh, NC Photographer

With Thanksgiving upon us and the times of spending a lot of time with family enjoying each others company as well as eating entirely too much food I have a bit of an announcement to make.

2014 has been a HUGE transition year for Red Bridge.  Over the summer, Annie stepped down as a partner photographer and is now an associate photographer with Red Bridge.  I assumed all operations of Red Bridge in July and am excited about the way the company is moving onwards and upwards.

And now another huge transition.

Over the years as I have met my clients at sessions, events and weddings it would typically come up in conversation that in addition to being the primary full time photographer of Red Bridge, I was also a Registered Nurse in the ICU at a local hospital.  I was a nurse before I was a photographer; I had a passion for it and the heart and stomach to be a surgical trauma ICU nurse but I also had the passion and heart for photography and being a small business owner.  Eventually I knew that either the company would sink or swim and as it is now it is swimming across the atlantic ocean so well that I am now devoting my time to Red Bridge full time.  There is now no other full time job that can pull me away from this company, my fantastic clients and friends.  I am very excited about this transition and seeing where it leads me and my company.

I am not going to lie; taking this leap is both exciting and scary all at the same time.  I am thrilled to be able to devote my time, heart and soul full time to Red Bridge and my clients now.  The journey of a 1,000 miles does really start with one step and you now see step 3 or 4 on this journey that I am embarking on and I THANK YOU and am VERY thankful for you; my clients, friends, supporters and team for being so amazingly awesome referring me and coming back time after time to support me and my company.

I wish you all the best as we all celebrate this Thanksgiving holiday that is upon us.  I am so very thankful for each and every one of you and am very excited about seeing you all in the future!

~Big huge hugs~

Rebecca

And because everything is better with a picture here is one of my precious family because this year I finally got family pictures taken of my own family.  Extremely happy and so very thankful for my family as well as my Red Bridge Family.
