Ok so let’s admit it. Being two is HARD. Like crazy hard sometimes. AND when people ask me the most challenging portrait sessions I have – well these are it. When I am photographing a two year old I know I am going to be running, chasing, playing and all of that is going to be very dependent oh how the subject is feeling that day. AND often there are a huge mix of emotions within the session. So patience, patience, patience. Luckily I am all 3;)
So when it came to Kenzie’s two year session at Duke Gardens, I knew that this whole mix of cardio and emotions was possible. AND although there were some frustrating moments for Ms. K, we did still get some smiles and some play time in! I mean it is all about exploring at this age and kids really start to get independent.
Considering that this session was at the end of July I was kinda planning for it to be hot and humid as it normally is in NC around that time of year BUT we actually caught a huge break and it was 80 and a slight breeze. I mean for July it was dang right pleasant! AND it was sunny and pretty in the gardens too!
I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from this adorable two year old session at Duke Gardens! I am so glad I get to continue to watch this little princess grow and grow!
