The fall is full, full, full of family portrait sessions for me always but this year I was particularly looking forward to this session for a few reasons. One – I love this family. They are so adorable and the kids are well behaved! BONUS! They do get a little goofy and I love that (you will see) but they are so up for anything! Also, in the spring I was supposed to meet this family after their fantastic session we had in the fall and when I reached out to mom about the scheduling for the time of the session that we had set the day for months back she told me that dad has had a heart attack and was now doing fine but things were very scary for a time there. He had a cardiac cath and got some stents and was doing well but family pictures weren’t going to be possible for a bit.
We thought about doing it the next month but then it got so hot and well hot and cardiac strain do not go well together so we opted for the fall! Well – what a great session! It was perfect and I even chose to pose the family around dad for one picture because while they are all very important in this family, he was almost taken from them and well they are all the center of their familial universe so he was the center in one picture!
Enjoy some of my favorites from this fabulous Duke Gardens family session and stay tuned for more from my time with the Hilton’s soon!
