The Laney Family : Knightdale, NC Family Photographer

I was so glad to have gotten an update on one of the families in which I photographed the twins newborn session at the end of 2014.  One thing that was so bittersweet about this session was that originally for the newborn session we had planned on having the entire family in the studio for the twins newborn session.  Shortly before the session however, older brother Graham became extremely ill and was hospitalized not only during the time of the twins newborn session but for many, many months following.  I mentioned to mom Liz at the session that once he got home and I really was keeping the positive energy in that I did believe he would eventually come home – that I wanted to do a session with the WHOLE family.

So, in July I was able to make good on that promise!

I met the family at their home in Knightdale and there was this adorable little greenway park right next to their home that was perfect for our session.  We didn’t want to travel all over a park with multiple locations for fear the kids would just positively melt and we also had a lot to keep the kids occupied.  I mean they had their own entourage with their home nurse and assistant in tow!  It was a great morning and we did manage to get LOTS of Graham smiles and a few twin smiles too!  Of course none of them were all at the same time however – it is real life and well at least they were for the most part happy through most of the session – all of them that is;)

Enjoy some favorites from my recent session with the Laney family and oh please – if you are the praying type – keep this precious family in yours.  They have made it this far through the strength of prayer, support and well wishes.  I only hope that it continues to lift them up every single day.
