This was a session straight from the heart and I am so glad that Elizabeth wanted to do this session.  It sparked a desire in me to do something similar as a session with my aging dogs.  Elizabeth and I worked together as RNs at Duke for many years and she reached out in the fall to have a family session with her parents as well as their dog Bubba but most importantly she wanted some pictures with herself and her precious pup Beatrice.

What a pretty pup she is!  Beatrice has been a staple in Elizabeths’ life for many years and as they age the struggle becomes real as you know eventually you will have to say goodbye to a long time friend – although the memories that you have of your time together will last a lifetime what better than to have a session encompassing that relationship?!?!

Elizabeth and her parents also had not had family pictures taken in many, many years so we righted a few wrongs this day!  I even think her parents really enjoyed having some updated pictures of the two of them;)
