I get the absolute honor to photograph lots of babies but the honor is taken up a notch when you photograph not one but two babies in a family – Alivia’s big sister is Alexa and I got to photograph her on a few occasions over her first years. We did do a few set ups that were similar to Alexa’s session but all in all I wanted to give Alivia a unique and special session of her own.
As I know the Edwards family really well and they were comfortable with trying some things that I had been wanting to try for awhile, I was able to do an image with her suspended from a branch with cherry blossoms. It was way more intensive in photoshop than I thought it would be, but it was well worth it! I love the results and the labor of love was worth it as it is a composite of 9 images in photoshop. (Whew)
I so enjoyed seeing Alexa as a big sister! We were able to do a few images as a family and a few of the kids together – it worked out as well as could be expected considering we were working with a toddler. AND we did get some good smiles out of the proud big sister!
I hope you enjoy some favorites from Alivia’s newborn session!
