Oh, do I love a good newborn session! And a newborn session in Charlotte – well, that is twice as nice! You see, I was born and raised in Charlotte. My mom still lives there. So, while I do give a discounted travel rate to Charlotte for portrait sessions and completely wave them all together for weddings, it is a HUGE bonus to me that I also get to work in a visit with my family. As in the case of this session, I made a day trip out of it. Drove down and completed the session and then stopped off at my mom’s house for dinner and a quick visit then hit the road to come back to Raleigh.
It makes no sense to some probably, however for me it’s worth it. Sometimes I just need to get away for the day. Even if it is for “work”, it is worth it to me. And of course, when you have an adorable newborn to photograph it is definately worth it. As is such the case with this session. I actually met this family in Raleigh about a year and a half ago. They were in town visiting family over the Christmas holiday and wanted some family pictures so we met at Pullen Park for an extended family session.
This family was growing and they were growing by an adorable newborn named Joey. What a doll he was and a fantastic sleeper too! He even napped outside as we had a quick minute or two before and approaching storm hit. He is an adorable fox sleeping in his tree trunk. We also got some pictures of him and big brother in his nursery.
I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from Joey’s Charlotte, NC Newborn Portrait session. Thank you for having me out Vandifords and I hope to see you again real soon!
