So.many.babies y’all. I mean it’s like the universe heard me yelling “give me your babies” and it DELIVERED! Nellie and her adorable family were referred to me by Parker and her adorable family and since this family has a very proud big sister in it already the family asked for me to come to their home for the session. I do offer this! I bring the studio to you – with exception of a few things that I just can’t transport because of space in the car – I pretty much bring everything that I would use in the studio with me – large bean bag and all!
I just make sure to get the families color preferences and prop preferences in advance and then I am good to go! They have an absolutely perfect place in the backyard for family pictures (I tell you what, I have been getting really lucky with my clients backyards that have asked me to come to the house) and big sister Gretchen was all into telling me all about her backyard. She is so adorable and such a proud big sister and she loves her little sister so much (for now at least;))
I did think that it was adorable that Gretchen told me to stop singing “her song” during her individual pictures. I haven’t figured out if it is because my singing is horrible (which it is y’all – at one time I could sing) or if she was claiming copyright on it but none-the-less it was adorable and provided for some great pictures!
And then Ms. Nellie – wow y’all. It is so true that second kids in families are so used to the noise from the older sibling bouncing around because Nellie slept and slept and slept through pretty much everything (well, exception was a poop episode on the bean bag – but hey that happens!) and she was an absolute ROCKSTAR for her session.
We finished with some pictures in her nursery and in her parents bedroom in the rocking chair she gets bonding time with mom and dad. I mean – I saw that window and knew it had to be a part of the session;)
I hope you enjoy Nellie’s beautiful (if I do say so myself) Carrboro, NC newborn session!
